I’m excited to announce that I’ve received my 2nd PR package! Thank You to Influenster and Maybelline for the complimentary Maybelline FIT Me Dewy and Maybelline Facestudio Master Prime Primer
in this review. Although I received these items for free all opinions and content are my own.
So, I’m not really a makeup girl
My everyday routine is pretty damn simple (o.k, basic). Wash my face, lotion and a light powder foundation, draw brows and out the door. I used to like putting makeup on and doing my hair all pretty but with 3 young kids, let’s face it, I have too many other things to tend to in the morning.
I received the Maybelline FIT Me Dewy foundation in Natural Beige and the Maybelline Facestudio Master Prime Primer
in the mail the other day. To be honest I was a little too excited. I’d have the opportunity to try something I otherwise wouldn’t have tried and have a full face of makeup on for a day and call it “work”.
Let’s start with the Maybelline Facestudio Master Prime Primer
I’ll be turning 32 this year (old af it feels like) and I have not tried or used any primer before this. I think my MUA used some on me on my wedding day like 10 years ago but that was about it. Maybelline Facestudio Master Prime Primer is light and smooth. I didn’t need to use a lot of the product to cover my face. Although I cannot compare this to other products I’ll say that I like it. My skin felt moist (I know I don’t like that word either) and hydrated but didn’t feel sticky.
Going on to the Maybelline FIT Me Dewy
Liquid Foundation
Let’s start with this: I don’t like my face looking dewy. I’m way more into the matte foundation look so I was pretty skeptical about the Maybelline FIT Me Dewy Foundation. A little of this product definitely goes a long way. This foundation is light, buildable and kept my face looking and feeling hydrated all day. For testing purposes I didn’t use anything on top of my base and foundation and coverage lasted all day. I did use my sponge once in the middle of the day (around 2-3PM) because I felt I looked a little oily. That being said, I also want to add that I did receive more than a few compliments on my skin while out. (winning!) So, I’m guessing there may be something to this whole dewy-skin look that I’m not fully understanding just yet.
Here’s a short video of the package I received from Influenster + Maybelline that contained the 2 items reviewed above. Although items were complimentary all opinions of this product are my own.
